Severn Podiatry is run and managed by Mr Adam Hughes
While in Shropshire he had the opportunity to help develop a new triage service for Orthopaedics as an Advanced Specialist Podiatrist based initially at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital near Oswestry. Following on from this work he was offered work in New Zealand where he spent the next 3 1/2 years.
New Zealand offered a great deal of experience of working in a private clinic setting with a great many different lower limb conditions. A large part of his work there was with the national Accident and Compensation Corporation helping to get injured people back to work as soon as possible following serious lower limb injuries. As well as working to improve the mobility of those with walking issues (from arthritis and other debilitating conditions) he was also able to gain invaluable experience working with some of New Zealands elite athletes and the Academy of Sport.
For the last 18 months of his time there he was employed as Lead Podiatrist for the largest privately owned Podiatry company in New Zealand.
In May 2010 Adam returned to the UK and formed Severn Podiatry in order to utilise all of the skills he had developed overseas. In this role he has worked with many international level athletes as well as amateur sports men and women.

We are biomechanical specialist Podiatrists based near Shrewsbury, Shropshire and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Our goal is to identify and address the cause of a problem rather than just treating symptoms. We provide musculoskeletal assessment and advanced and specific orthotic therapy to help with conditions affecting the lower limb from the foot, to the knee, hip and even lower back.
