Chris, our founder and managing director, is a Chartered Accountant, who qualified in 2000 whilst working for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the world’s largest accountancy firm. He spent five years working for PwC, becoming an Audit Manager, and had clients ranging from major PLC’s to small owner managed businesses, in industries as diverse as retail, manufacturing and financial services.
After leaving PwC Chris spent over eight years working in industry for three market-leading global businesses in a variety of senior financial and commercial roles. During this time he gained hands-on experience of a wide range of activities which he uses to really add value to our clients’ businesses; financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, business planning and forecasting, cash flow and working capital management, business development, mergers and acquisitions, and business performance improvement.

Anyone can call themselves an accountant, even if they have never done any formal training. To become a chartered accountant you have to pass a series of tough examinations covering financial management, auditing, business strategy, taxation and IT, as well as training for at least three years with an organisation that is registered with the ICAEW.
As a member firm of the ICAEW we have to meet strict criteria with regards to on-going training and skills development. We also have to follow the Institute’s bye-laws, regulations, standards, and Code of Ethics, as well as being required to have professional indemnity insurance. The Institute also has a complaints procedure so that any dispute can be properly investigated.
