Grove Hall Nursery Ltd is an independent private day nursery for children aged 5 month to 5 years old. The Principal is responsible for all aspects of the Nursery and delegates certain duties to members of the staff.
Admission:
Parents seeking a place for their child are asked to complete a Registration Form. Children will be considered for a place in the order in which their names were registered but priority will be given to children who will progress through the Nursery, siblings and children who are suitable for full time attendance. Admission will be at the discretion of the Principal following a satisfactory interview with the parents and the child. We do not discriminate unfairly on grounds of sex, race or religion. At present we have limited facilities for children who have a disability or special educational needs.
A legally binding contract is made on the basis of these Conditions of Admission when we offer you a place for your child and you accept that offer. It is a condition of acceptance that there is a non-refundable entrance fee.
We will do all that is reasonable to safeguard and promote your child’s welfare and will provide education and pastoral care to at least the standard required by law and often to a much higher standard. We will respect your child’s human rights and freedoms which must, however, be balanced with the needs and rules of our Nursery community and the rights and freedoms of others.
Nursery fees are payable by the 14th of each month or a late payment penalty charge will incur. “Fees” mean all sums due and owing to the Nursery (including fees in lieu of notice if incurred) at any time and must be paid promptly and by the due date. Extras including outings and lunches and dinners should be paid in full. A child may be excluded from the Nursery at any time when fees are unpaid. Grove Hall Nursery Ltd reserves the right to charge a discretionary penalty fee for late or unpaid fees. No remission of fees will be made for absence due to sickness or any other cause except at the sole discretion of the Principal. Fees also apply for festive and national holidays.
If a parent has two children attending Grove Hall Nursery Ltd, a 10% discount is available on the nursery fees for the second child attending Grove Hall Nursery Ltd (however this only applies to children who are attending 3 days or more).
The Principal has the right to ask you to remove your child from the Nursery if, in the opinion of the Principal, removal is necessary in the interests of either the Nursery or the child. We will consult with parents before making this requirement but it could arise for example on the grounds of the child’s or a parent’s serious misconduct or if the child has learning difficulties requiring assistance that we are unable to provide.
Except in a case of legal negligence or other wrongdoing on our part, we do not accept responsibility for personal injury or loss or damage to property from any cause. Parents are responsible for arranging insurance to cover the belongings of their children. Nothing in these conditions affects your statutory rights.
The Nursery website is not a part of the contract between the Nursery and parents. Although we believe the contents to be correct, parents must seek written confirmation from the Principal of any matter on which they wish to place specific reliance before entering this contract.
Should your child have an infectious disease, such as sickness and/or diarrhoea, they must not return to the nursery until they have been clear for at least 48 hours. We inform all parents if there is a contagious infection identified in the nursery, to enable them to spot the early signs of this illness. We thoroughly clean and sterilise all equipment and resources that may have come into contact with a contagious child to reduce the spread of infection, but this will only be effective if you work with us and keep your child away during the infectious period. We have the right to refuse admission to a child who is unwell. This decision will be taken by the manager on duty and is non-negotiable.
