Thatch Fire Prevention Limited (TFP) is a specialist company operating on a national basis with it's focus on all aspects of security, and in particular the protection of thatched properties against the risk of fires originating at the chimney to thatch interface, initiated by chimney heat transfer. Thatched properties are a vital part of our national heritage and we believe should be protected as such.

The aim of our company is simple: to provide security and fire detection/prevention systems to protect against specific threats in all manner of situations.

We provide full fire risk assessments on thatched properties and are working with the major thatch insurers to reduce the growing trend of thatch fires.

With the combined experience of over 60+ years within the fire and security industry, the directors of Thatch Fire Prevention (TFP) created the "Phoenix" Chimney Monitor (early warning detection system), designed to protect thatched roof properties from the major risk of chimney heat transfer, which is the most common cause of fire in these style of homes and businesses.

Although we are able to provide a number of products and services, we also take any opportunity to raise awareness of the dangers of multi-fuel appliances (i.e. wood-burning stoves) particularly within thatched properties.
