Who we are
3L Care is a social care provider providing residential nursing care, day care services and weekly respite breaks to people of all ages. We provide specialist care for individuals living with conditions including acquired brain injury, complex health needs, learning and physical disabilities and autism.
We have two home-from-home care homes located in Winsford, Cheshire and one in Atherton, Greater Manchester, all in the North West of England. We are truly privileged to have a dedicated team who deliver first class care and attention to our residents. For families this has proved, in turn, to provide the peace of mind they very much look for. We plan to expand the reach of our very unique care programme across the UK. This will enable us to help meet the growing demand and need for specialist residential care delivered in a caring, home-from-home environment. Our ongoing work on a local and regional level with local authorities, specialist schools and clinical commissioning groups will ensure that this happens.
The 3L Care Team provides high quality nursing & social care for adults aged 16+ with complex health needs, physical & learning disabilities. Our residents are individuals who may require high levels of intervention and administration of medicine & oxygen as well as those with physical & learning disabilities or a disability as the result of a brain injury.
The services that we provide across our homes, are delivered by a team of qualified Registered General Nurses, Registered Child Care Nurses, Registered Learning Disability Nurses and NVQ Level 3 trained carers. Each home has a Registered General Nurse or Registered Learning Disability Nurse as the Manager which we believe is extremely important.
All of the care that we provide is tailored specifically to the individual we are caring for. These needs are fully assessed before accessing our services with the individual, their families & any professionals involved in their support. Our team are specialist-trained in the use of oxygen, suction, catheterisation, rescue medication for seizure management, administration of medication, gastronomy, naso-gastric feeding, tracheostomy care & ventilation. On-going training is provided to all staff and new skills developed as people with different needs access the 3L Service.

Our staff retention rate is very high which ensures continuity of care & The families of our residents become part of our ever growing team as strong relationships form. 3L Care supports it own employees in developing their careers within the care and nursing environment.
Two of our Senior Carers are part of the 2015 cohort at Chester University working towards a Foundation Degree in Care Practitioner. 3L Care is an organisation that supports the training of healthcare professionals, including nurses and has pre-registration nursing students from the University of Chester on placement with us. Whilst on placement students will be involved in the delivery of care to all our individuals at 3L Care. As a student they will always be under the supervision of a member of staff.
If you wish to discuss this, please speak to Jan Potter or Michelle Milne on 01606 822584. The Live Love Laugh ethos runs through the core of our business. It is important for every 3L’er to work in a positive, enjoyable and happy environment which we have achieved through a mutual understanding and acceptance of our values. Our Team is trained in many specialist areas and undertake more training should it be required when we meet residents with additional needs.
The individuals that live with us at 3L Care do so because of the high level of nursing & care needs they require and as a result of the changing needs of their families. We understand that families entrust us with the safety and wellbeing of their much loved family members. We embrace this trust and demonstrate our commitment to honouring it through the consistency of individualised care we give them. The move to residential care may have been a difficult and stressful and overwhelming decision to make and our team is on hand to support you in this transition.
Our Clinical Liaison Manager, Michelle Milne will support you in the access process and in introducing you to 3L. The family of all of our residents become part of the 3L family and are encouraged to visit at any time. Each resident has their own room with its own television, DVD player, sink, wardrobe, bedside table, lamp and chest of drawers. We encourage the family of residents to personalise their room and making it their own by bringing pictures from home and even decorating it in a way that they may prefer. Making it feel like “home” is all part of the settling in process and helps to make the transition easier.
