Established in 2010, Acorn Accountancy Ltd
is a small friendly firm run by Lucy Robertson.
Lucy decided to launch Acorn Accountancy because she recognised that people want an approachable accountant that puts the customer first and always has a smile and a friendly welcome, along with the ability to explain accounting areas in a down to earth manner.
She also realised that given the difficult economic conditions faced by many, people needed to know accurately what their outgoings would be. From this came the idea of fixed fee quotes, monthly standing orders and management accounts production that keep the business owner in the picture.
However we do not only work for businesses, we are happy to prepare tax returns for people who have rental properties, share portfolios and many other non business related self assessment returns.
Not everyone has the time to travel to see the accountant and we are willing to travel to your work place or home at your convenience.
Lucy has gained her experience over many years in a mixture or local and national firms of accountants and has worked in all areas of general practice from basic accounts preparation and bookkeeping to audits and taxation planning.
Her background growing up on a farm helps her to understand the difficulties faced by rural businesses today. Lucy also has an HND in Hotel and Catering Management, which gave an insight into many areas of service industries and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualification.
