MEL Construction specialise in bespoke Conservatory interior Ceilings, catering for all different customers, their ideas and tastes. So it is with the customer in mind that MEL Construction have developed a unique frame constructed interior ceiling system, designed to encompass the original internal roof shape and contour of the existing Conservatory roof.

MEL Construction utilises the existing Conservatory roof system, built as standard construction with polycarbonate roof boards and plastic / aluminium struts. We combine both this existing roof system together with the new interior ceiling frame support system. The new ceiling system has a 50mm air cavity between the existing panels so as to allow the roof to breathe and eliminate condensation, and as well as all this we install a state of the art 19 layered (equivalent to 250mm Rockwool) insulation product, developed to keep warm air in and the cold air out.

Combine all this with the design, materials and construction methods adopted by MEL Construction, and it allows for a cost effective upgrade to a beautiful elegant plaster finished ceiling, revitalising what was normally a no go area during the winter months, into a warm, when heated, comfortable room, and during the Summer months what was a sauna on a hot Summer's day is transformed into a much cooler environment as the insulation acts as a barrier reflecting the Sun's rays away from the Conservatory roof, the end result being a beautiful room that you can use all year round.
