JS Lewis Ltd is a boutique consultancy that aims to provide high quality energy consulting services at competitive prices. The company was formed in 2009 and has since completed over 100 consulting commissions on projects with an estimated gross development value in excess of £6bn. Most of our work is in the UK, but we have also undertaken commissions abroad.
Johnny Lewis BEng MSc has been working in the property and energy project development sectors for over 11 years. A mechanical engineer by training, he started his career with Broadway Malyan Architects before joining PRP Architects, helping to set up the environmental service offering and business unit. In 2006 he joined Camco Global, working on a wide range of energy and carbon projects before leaving to set up JS Lewis Ltd in 2009. He has been an active member of the CABE-affiliated South West Design Review Panel for 5 years and has lectured at a number of universities on energy, carbon and sustainable property. He is also a founding director of Green Trust, a specialist community energy project developer.
We provide energy consulting services to land developers, property developers, energy project developers, planning authorities, NGOs and third sector voluntary organisations.

For this transition to take place, the market needs strategic thinking. Our in-depth understanding of energy infrastructure, low carbon strategy development and commercial understanding helps clients plan for the long term from the very outset of a project.
We have provided a range of services to developers of energy projects including site-finding, feasibility studies, financial appraisal, strategy development, technical planning reports, and grid connection work. Technologies include wind, hydro, CCGT, district heat, waste heat and solar PV. In partnership with other trusted experts, we can offer a turnkey development service to ‘hands-off’ project developers and investors.
