I have been in the car repair and refinishing industry for the majority of my adult life. After launching various franchise business in Huntingdon and Cambridgeshire I have started my own company brand Ace Finish. I started Ace in Dec 2009, which was also the height of the recession and my company has grown year on year. I work very closely with my paint suppliers who keep up to date on the developing industry, products and repair techniques.
Started working as an apprentice paint sprayer at HOLLAND MOTORS Cambs in 1984, mainly repairing Nissan and Fiat/Lancia cars, finished apprenticeship and moved to MAGPIE garage repairing BMW`s later moved to St.Neots and changed work location to RG TAYLORS. From there after a couple of years he moved to CHARLES COACHCRAFT, in Cambs, after 5yrs moved to FMM St.Neots where he spent 8yrs working on fleets of Ford, Range Rover, Jaguar etc. Later Tim moved and spent a year at Gladwins, Cambs as BODYSHOP CONTROLLER, before being offered a job at P AND R COACHWORKS, as a head painter. 4yrs on and Tim is now part of the team with ACE FINISH.
Ace Finish is an independent, branded company, NOT a franchise. Ace Finish is a family run business, established since 2009.
The Ace Finish paint repair technique has been developed to give high quality, professional finishes, which can only be carried out by a qualified technician. Our choice colour matching system has been designed to work in conjunction with manufacturer’s specifications. Also as an independent company we have access to insurance approved paint systems.
