Living a long way from my 3 bedroomed detached house in Cambridge which I have let out through a number of local Letting Agents over the last 15 years, I have been disappointed by their lack of interest in fully managing my property; particularly on maintenance and property tenant checking issues, with the result that my property became more difficult to let and in a state of disrepair, resulting in a water pipe burst when the tenant was away which lasted for a number of days and left my property uninhabitable. Being unable to visit my property I called Alpha Properties and asked if they would be prepared to take the project on! They agreed and liased with my Insurance company and myself to facilitate major repairs and upgrading of the property. Alpha Properties managed the project from start to finish including getting prices/quotes for the Insurance company, agreeing details with them and myself and overseeing their trades people getting the job completed, sending myself photos as work was progressing and moving new tenants in just after work was completed to a good standard and price.
Alpha now fully manage my property. I cannot praise Alpha properties highly enough; they have done a huge amount of work to sort the property out, always let me know what is happening, emailing me photo updates, meeting people on site, overseeing all work from inception to completion and all in a friendly professional manner. They could not have been more helpful. Alpha Properties are by far the best Letting Agent that I have dealt with in Cambridge and I will be sticking with them for many years to come. I was having quite a bit of trouble with my previous property management company: they had grown too big and were not providing careful management which resulted in shoddy tradesmen workmanship, office staff not passing messages on, confused emails etc. The company had known for over a month that the tenants were moving out but messed up in preparing the property and finding new tenants. My property became vacant and so, after two months, I started looking around for another property management company and came across Alpha Property Management in Mill Road. What a difference in service! Nothing was too much trouble for them and within a few days of them seeing the property and advertising it they had three viewings and within two weeks had a contract signed. Since then everything has run smoothly. These guys are keen, polite, friendly and know their stuff.
