Because they spend so much time in our home we have a relaxed and friendly relationship with them. We can have a laugh with them but when a job needs doing they snap back into professional mode in an instant.
By learning about each client as a person and making a positive contribution to the way they live their lives, our carers are able to significantly enhance their overall well-being.
We recognise that delivering complex care can be challenging at times. We monitor, supervise and appraise our staff on an ongoing basis, working with them to help them continually improve their skills and knowledge, and offer access to support to help them with any emotional stress arising from their work.

services in the home are the ten rules of our Almond Care ethos.
Clients who require assistance with intimate tasks, such as dressing, bathing and toileting, will be helped as far as possible within the wishes of the client by a staff member of their own choice and, if desired, a staff member of the sex of their own choice.
We ensure that clients receive respectful and courteous assistance with make-up, hairdressing and other aspects of personal care to help the client present themselves as they wish.
In working with the client, we are committed to fostering an environment of comfort, mutual respect, consideration and independence.
All clients will be treated with the utmost respect. As carers, we are committed to fulfilling the client’s physical, mental and emotional support needs while fully respecting their wishes, disability, day-to-day routine, culture, independence and overall lifestyle.
At Almond Care, excellence is embedded in our UK complex care in the home services, which we achieve in a number of ways.
We routinely ask clients and their families for feedback about the quality of the care we provide and the professionalism of our care staff. This complements regular communication between the client, the client's family, care staff and Almond Care managers, to ensure care continues to meet client needs and adapts to changing scenarios.
We only hire staff who are trained and qualified to national standards but we also provide in-house training to provide additional skills and client-specific training. We also regularly appraise our training provision to ensure continuous improvement.
Our managers draw on their hands-on experience of providing care to provide our carers with any support required.
in the home across the UK, Almond Care places recognises that ongoing training is essential to support the highest standards of care.
Our industry-standard courses cover a wide range of care issues and specialisms and are linked to the national educational framework, which means they can be used as part of evidence for Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) portfolios, with a certificate of attendance provided to all participants completing courses.
Almond Care’s courses are designed to be accessible, flexible and affordable with a curriculum focus on making learning new skills and fine-tuning existing ones interesting and enjoyable.
