In 2003 the first ‘drying tray’ was developed, built and tested. The construction of the unit was fabricated from stainless steel and suitable for 50cm sq baskets. In 2004 the ‘drying tray’ was developed further for reductions in manufacturing and selling costs and by enhancing the aesthetic appearance by use of plastic mouldings in place of stainless steel. The product was rebranded as the Airack which incorporated a 4 minute fixed drying cycle, a built in drain and an air filter pad.
The newly rebranded Airack product was released for purchase by the trade and went into many bars and clubs across the country. The product went on to be further developed in 2011, when the Airack Lite was introduced. This simpler version was based on the standard Airack, but with the drain and air filter pad removed and the timed drying cycle being adjustable up to 30 minutes by the user.
I am the owner of the Taverna Bar, Isle of Bute. It is a very small bar but at times a very busy bar. I recently installed the Airack and I can only describe it as a godsend. With so many products demanding branded glasses and so little shelf space to store them the Airack has transformed our operation. I really do not know how we managed without it. My staff love it and the customers love it as they are getting a perfect pint every time. Apart from a glasswasher and an ice maker I would rate the Airack the next most useful piece of equipment for any publican.

Airack 50 is a very good product, wish we had purchased earlier! Yes, you need to go through 2 cycles to get tall glasses really cool, but after 1 cycle it leaves the glasses dry and a little warm on the bottom only. Pints certainly are pouring better.
This product is fantastic we have always struggled to find cool dry glasses when busy. You can take the glasses straight off the rack and use immediately. Even considering a second machine I'm that impressed.
