Colin is Yellow Balloon’s globetrotter and a great graphic designer and creative artworker. He spent years working in Canada, Japan and the UK, picking up new skills and growing his expertise. Today, he creates smart layouts, crisp typography and rich imagery for a variety of projects, together with producing artwork to a very high standard, making him a great asset to the studio.
Vesa is a versatile print and digital production professional with over 25 years of experience under his belt. A typography specialist with in-depth knowledge of modern design software, he gets involved at the offset and guides a project through to its completion. He’s very diligent and organised, and is great to have around when there’s a production dilemma.
Mark is a highly experienced, creative print specialist. He loves photography, predominantly taking inspiring photos of London scenery. He has a great eye for design, imagery and colour. Because he started his career as a printer, he knows the whole production process from start to finish. And, perhaps most importantly, he makes a mean cup of tea!
Jim brings a wealth of experience, know-how and keen attention to detail to Yellow Balloon. Proficient in all things digital since the mid 1980s, Jim worked at some of London’s top agencies including Addison Corporate Marketing. Working on a number of high profile Annual Reports and other corporate documents, Jim found himself working with (for) Leela, who was the Production Director at the time. He perfected his skills as a creative artworker. Jim is the comedian of the team with his 1970s sense of humour and a laugh not unlike that of Sid James.
Leela is Yellow Balloon’s director and the heart of the company. She has over 20 years of experience in the design industry and has seen many changes in styles, technologies and processes. During her career she constantly honed her skills and has grown with every new challenge. Leela started out as a designer and artworker, became a large-scale studio manager, and went on to found Yellow Balloon, which she successfully runs with a team of avid design enthusiasts. Leela is very passionate about her work and her team.
