We're associated with a number of organisations, like ASC, who are great at bringing new thinking and ideas to those of us in the world of survey research. We believe this makes our relationship with clients more robust and reliable. Here you can find out a bit more about those organisations and what they do.
We work with a number of associates to augment our offering and provide specialist skills where needed. We're happy to endorse these associates and their skills/products to our customers too.
Digital Taxonomy is a new technology company operating within the Market Research sector and has two core products, Loadit, an ETL tool for MR and Codeit, coding software that utilises Artificial Intelligence to great effect. w3dL’s Managing Director, Steve, is also a director and co-founder of Digital Taxonomy, having worked with Tim Brandwood on Codeit for several years.
The Hub is a creative arts consultancy originally based in East London and run by Julia Payne. w3dL and The Hub have had a productive past relationship, first working together on a survey for the Musicians’ Benevolent Fund (probably the largest ever survey conducted amongst musicians in the UK) and since then, working together on a number of projects for organisations like PRS for Music, AIM and most recently, Mama & Co, the company that hosts The Great Escape festival annually in Brighton.

Draegtun Systems, which is run by our friend Barry Walsh, provide IT and computing services to the market research industry. Draegtun help us with certain aspects of our computing infrastructure but that's just one aspect of the range of services they provide. Specialising in web based technologies such as Perl, Apache, CGI and XML, they bring some very specialised skills to the table, which they're able to explain to less technical people in simple, understandable terms.
Here at We Work With Data, we're members and supporters of a wide range of organisations. A link to each organisation and an explanation of what they do is given below.
The British Healthcare Business Intelligence Association is an organisation that all of our main analysts are personal certified non-members of. Each year we undertake the adverse event training and are certified in order that we can do work for our medical clients.
The Independent Consultants Group is an organisation that brings together independent researchers and small, independent companies, mainly operating in the market research sector. We are members of ICG and offer special rates to other ICG members.
Founded in 1946, The Market Research Society is the world's research association. The MRS represents our industry, and since Jane Frost has taken over as Chief Executive, the MRS has taken a higher profile in the media, explaining how research helps industry and speaking out against sharp practices such as "sugging" (sales and marketing activity under the guise of "research") that stop people wanting to take part in bona fide surveys.
We adore Triple-S data and wherever possible ask that we are supplied data in this comprehensive data/metadata format that's been around since the 1990s. We support the aims of the group as they make everyone's life in market research that much more straightforward.
Here at w3dL, we take our work seriously and as we're a research organisation registered with the Information Commission, we're proud to uphold the main principles of UK and EU data protection law. We believe in the importance of informed consent, and are supporters of the MRS's "Fair Data" initiative.
We also take data weighting seriously too. If you're looking for an organisation to take 150 interviews and try to weight them to a nationally representative profile, then you're probably at the wrong website, for the wrong company. Solid, robust data that's collected reasonably is what good market research should all be about.
Our clients cover research agencies, panel sample providers, software companies, independent consultants, famous brands, media industry clients and many others besides. What they all have in common is that they like our approach to work.
