As the digital print market grew and print engines improved rapidly Tony realised Printers needed equipment that could finish the print run just as easily as it had been printed. In 2009 a partnership involving sole distributorship was struck with the 100 year old Japanese company Uchida. This required the development of a range of dynamic, intelligent print finishing machines to complement the already well known range of Uchida paper drills and folders.
Now sited at the Science Park of Sussex University, UMG is ideally located to take advantage of all new developments in engineering and product design.
Today, The Aerocut and Countron range of card cutter-creasers and paper counters have become some of the fastest selling machines in the post press world. However, the story has just begun. In the next 2 years there will be yet more truly innovative machines released to excite anyone involved in digital print production. Watch this space!

The Aerocut and U-Coater changed the way that we printed & finished our work. As the owner of the business I was looking for finishing kit that did two things for us. A) speed up our turn-around times and B) give us the ability to offer print that no-one else in our area could. Just as important, the kit had to work hard, be easy to use and precise in what it did. The Uchida kit has ticked all the boxes, we love it!
