OP Costs Drafting was set up by Owen Poole in 2015 with him having previously been a director of a nationwide costs firm. Owen, with over 15 years of experience in all areas of costs including drafting, advocacy and training, wanted to get back to the grassroots of his profession by offering a quality one-to-one service to law firms that needed to know who was doing their work and, therefore, whom they could trust to do the work correctly and to the highest of standards.

OP Costs Drafting’s present portfolio includes clients that have all come from recommendations or referrals. We don’t want to set up regional offices and we don’t want to become nationwide because we firmly believe that the bigger the firm, the harder it is to maintain excellent customer service. A single office covering the whole of the country utilising courier services and electronic case transfer to facilitate the services provided, ensures that you can always pick up the phone to ask for advice from someone you know and who has worked for you and whom you can trust.

Business partnerships can be created orally or by conduct indicating that an accord has been reached. However, as one case concerning a troubled medical practice showed, it is always wise to have such agreements professionally drafted at the outset.

Whilst we are based in Dartford, Kent, we accept work from the whole of the country and we are more than happy to provide in-house services for bigger cases.
