I started Jaymatt Secretarial Services Limited back in 2009, but I actually had the idea in 1995. I had just become a mum for the first time and was dreaming about how great it would be to set up my own business, working from home and the benefits that that would bring to my home life. I was writing up a business plan and reflecting on the challenges my employer would face if I were to leave.

The timing wasn't right, but I could see the potential for assisting business owners with the skilled, reliable and affordable secretarial/admin support they need, without them actually taking on an employee full-time and the cost that that would entail. I could also see the potential in assisting the law firms I already had good contacts with in providing a digital transcription service, covering for holidays, sickness, maternity leave etc, or simply when they have a backlog of work.

When I was made redundant from DLA Piper back in 2009, it was the kick up the bum I needed to do my own thing and Jaymatt Secretarial Services was born!

I’m passionate about working with businesses, large or small, who see us as a valuable part of their business. I love helping them get on with whatever they're passionate about.

Data protection is of paramount importance; we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and also have professional indemnity insurance for your peace of mind. We work predominantly for lawyers and are more than happy to assist other business areas.
