About Scotia Accounting
We are an Edinburgh based Chartered Accountancy practice, putting our clients at the centre of our business.
Scotia Accounting are the only accountants in Edinburgh specialising in start-up business right up to successful established companies. We work with a mix of different clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies across sectors like retail, events, hospitality, recruitment, photography and food services.
Mark has many years experience in industry, working with SMEs and large multi-national companies, through analyst and management roles. With this insight into “real” business Mark has the advantage as to how businesses function and he looks to take a view outside the conventional “accounting box”.
Geoff has been in business for over 40 years which allows him to bring plenty of knowledge and experience to the table. Geoff has worked with large corporate bodies, government controlled organisations and local authorities as well as start-up businesses. Geoff’s interests lie in management accounting, job costing, taxation and businesses wanting to make major changes to their accounting systems.
At Scotia Accounting we believe that:
Accountancy is as much about finance as it is about growing businesses
Accountancy and the jargon associated with ‘traditional accountancy’ shouldn’t make starting a business difficult, confusion and off-putting
