Celtic Food Laboratories

We are an independent privately owned food testing laboratory that specialises in the microbiological testing of food and food products. We started the set up in February 2009, due to the lack of specialised food testing laboratories in the South Wales area, and were incorporated in March 2009. We can provide service 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

We are based in the Treforest Industrial Estate which is only 5 minutes from the M4. The estates central point allows easy access to the whole of South Wales. The centralized location allows us ease of access to all clients and being within a close proximity of all clients maintains the quality integrity of samples from pick up in our temperature checked refrigerated van, through the short journey to the drop off at the lab.

The laboratory is fitted out to the highest standard. The layout and design is planned around the efficiency and accuracy of testing of all samples. The floor plan incorporates a large storage room, an isolated media production area, isolated pathogen area, a sample receipt area and a main microbiological testing laboratory. The equipment is new, good quality, fully calibrated and validated. It is monitored daily to ensure accurate results for customers.

We offer customer service at the highest level at competitive prices. Our costs are kept low by having an efficient production process and by the constant monitoring of supply costs and making sure that our supply costs are minimal to pass the lower prices back to our clients.

Staff are trained fully in the most up to date methods, very motivated by their work and highly valued. Staff are continually being trained, monitored and developed to help maintain clients high level of confidence in the results we provide them with.
