Based in Stockport, Jump Space is a specialist recreation centre providing Trampolining, Rebound Therapy and Active/Sensory play to disabled and non-disabled people of all ages.
Jump Space’s unique facility comprises of five trampolines, a fully accessible play and a state of the art sensory room. We provide a safe, fun, understanding and non-judgemental environment for disabled children and young people, many of whom, due to their impairments are unable to access other forms of sport and physical activity.
Jump Space is also a social hub, offering much needed respite and support for families across the North West. Our unique provision means that siblings can enjoy trampolining sessions alongside their brothers and sisters, while parents and carers can enjoy a chat and a cup of tea in our upstairs café, safe in the knowledge that their children are being well looked after by our
Jump Space was established in 2008 by Marie Fisher and Lynsey McIntosh, two qualified trampolining coaches who set up the charity after identifying a gap in the recreational provision for disabled young people. Former Manchester City footballer Paul Lake came on board as our official Patron in 2010.
The centre was officially opened on October 20th 2010. Obtaining its own HQ has allowed us to grow and expand, and we are now delighted to welcome over 300 individuals through our doors each week.
Marie established Jump Space with Lynsey McIntosh in 2008. She has over 25 years of high-performance coaching experience and has worked in disability sport for the last 17 years, including seven years as a National Development Officer for British Gymnastics.
Paul is a former Manchester City footballer who now works as a Club Support Manager for the Premier League. He has been a passionate supporter and advocate of Jump Space since his children began attending in 2008.
Julie is the Jump Space administrator. She works part time in the office managing all the bookings and is the main point of contact in the office.
Lynsey was a founder member of Jump Space. She has been a fully qualified trampolining and Rebound Therapy coach for 20 years. She is a school teacher and works part time at the Jump Space centre.
Nathan joined Jump Space as an apprentice in 2013 who has since moved up to become one of our session leads.

To provide a service that the whole family can access, by encouraging siblings to participate in activities alongside their brothers and sisters, and by creating a welcoming social hub for parents, carers and support workers.

WHO WE HELP
Jump Space is for people of all ages with disabilities, their families and friends. We also welcome people with no disability.
Jump Space runs a wide and varied timetable of classes, sessions and courses throughout the year aimed at groups and individuals with disabilities.
Leave Stockport station via the Edgeley exit (by platforms 3 & 4). Walk to the top of the car park and turn right onto King Street West. Continue for 500 metres until the crossroads and turn left on to Wood Street. Walk 150 metres and turn right through the pedestrian bollards; Jump Space is 100 metres on the left hand side, opposite Connolly Motors.
