An experienced financial professional with over twenty years’ experience advising the public sector. John heads up New Networks and specialises in strategic advisory projects and programmes working with Chief Executives, senior managers and elected/board members of local public sector organisations. Previously he operated at a Director-level position with a major professional services firm, having regional lead responsibility for local government advisory services. He is client and task focused with a track record of successful projects from major strategic procurements and complex shared services projects to specific interventions and service improvement projects.
Nick specialises in strategic procurements and programmes across a wide range of sectors. Previously he operated at a senior level in the corporate finance arm of a major professional services firm, leading a sector team within the North West region. Nick has an excellent track record of providing advice on a range of large scale public procurement, from strategic partnerships to large infrastructure projects, contract reviews and contract renegotiations. Nick has also provided advice to central government departments and non-governmental bodies on procurement, business case review and policy.
