Little Bicks is a Jewish Nursery School that has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of our surrounding Jewish communities. Our well-trained, caring practitioners create a high quality exciting environment, which is safe and stimulating. CRP points can be collected by a child attending our setting.
Purim parties, Pesach mock Seder, Israeli music show, and end of year graduation. We also welcome parents coming in to read stories to the children, accompany us on outings, or visiting the nursery to talk to the children about their profession.
Little Bicks operates a key person system, whereby each child is allocated a specific practitioner committed to their
. All our staff own current enhanced DBS checks, and Safeguarding Training as a minimum requirement, and we are reflective practitioners of current curriculum guidance and legislation. We are working towards ensuring all our staff have qualified Paediatric First Aid.
Providing healthy, balanced nutritious food and drink is fundamental to our nursery ethos. All meals and snacks we provide offer a well-balanced diet to include all the nutrients essential for young children. All food is Kosher.
Little Bicks was established as a Jewish nursery in Borehamwood, in January 2009 by Rivka Bick after recognising the need for kosher all day childcare. Since then, Little Bicks has developed into an outstanding nursery providing excellent care and education – both Jewish and secular – and nurturing children aged 18 months - 4 years to have a strong Jewish identity
