Company Profile
We are a small family business that was set up in 1974 by Nick and Barbara Seymour. Over the years the business has slowly but steadily evolved from a ‘man with a van’ to a key part of the fruit and vine industry. We are proud to have now been in business for over forty years and have been Fendt tractor dealers for more than thirty years with the narrow 200 series being our speciality.
In 1991 we purpose-built our own site to suit our business. We installed modern equipment and tools to cope with our current and future servicing, repairing and manufacturing work. We have a large spare parts store holding a wide range of parts for most orchard machinery and equipment. Our aim being to keep ‘down’ time on your equipment to a minimum. In recent years we have added an additional workshop and storage building for new and used machinery allowing us to keep machinery protected from the elements and preventing it from deteriorating in any way. This has also meant we are able to hold in stock a larger range of new machinery, thus saving the manufacturers’ delivery delays.
We design, manufacture and supply specialist equipment for the fruit, vineyard and hop industry; from machines to prepare the land for planting, right through production to storage, grading and packing of fruit into boxes for sale. Our bespoke design and build table-top strawberry sprayers lead the way in this sector of the spraying market. We also carry out sales and service of Winery and juice processing machinery as the UK distributor for Bucher Vaslin equipment.
We are proud to continually look to innovations and the latest machinery technology and with that are very pleased to be the UK Supplier of the ProbotIQ X-Pert autonomous driverless system as an add-on for Fendt Vario tractors. Increasing efficiency is key to moving forward for all of us.
Pessl Instruments, the leading company in the field of automatic field monitoring that has been in business for 32 years, is entering the fruit industry and we are excited to announce that we will do it together. We share not only the industry, but also the understanding of how important it is to stay on top of technology to grow business in the era of Agriculture 4.0. The partnership puts …
Our Workshop and Fabrication Department has been having an incredibly busy year and trying to find skilled staff like in so many areas is very hard, but we are pleased to have recently appointed another team member – Jamie, so we are now up to five Engineers and Fabricators.
