Who we are
A-Box Ltd has been trading for over a decade and was founded and is now run by Simon Orenstein who’s family history in packaging was started in the East End of London in 1894. From firstly producing cigarette boxes, the family business evolved through four generations to produce rigid covered boxes for board games such as Trivial Pursuits to multimedia packs for clients such as IBM. The packaging range also expanded from rigid covered boxes to machine glued cartons/flatpacks, which included stock stationery boxes and board envelopes.
Having working previously in a large skilled manufacturing operation, with a wealth of generations of die makers to the skilled hand made bench workers and machine operators, has enabled me to gain much of my knowledge in the craft of box making and design. My time engaged in estimating and sales, has given me a better understanding of clients needs, and how to deliver every requirement.
The evolution of A-Box Ltd has almost totally been through recommendations from existing clients. We are proud of the relationships we have with clients plus the trust that has been formed over many years. From receipt of an enquiry we aim to respond and to send a quotation within 24 hours and will always speak to our clients prior to quoting to make sure all the detail is understood. If there are any issues with the specification we will advise and arrange for materials to be sent prior for approval and if required can produce a full sample. Through our experience we can advise on the physical design of the pack required. If the packaging needs to be different we will produce something unique.
