The DECC has now set in place the payment tariff amounts under the Renewable Heat Incentive. Ground Source/ Air Source and Solar Thermal systems installed by Solo Heating Installations will be elegible for annual RHI payments under the scheme. For domestic installations these grant payments will last for 7 years. The commercial RHI scheme is already active and payments under that scheme can last up to 21 years.

The Heating and Hot Water Industry Council have Launched the Hole In The Roof Campaign to try to raise awareness of energy efficiency, and educate in the measures homeowners can take in order to reduce energy wasteage in the home. The Hole In The Roof Campaign have launched an interactive website, with information and even an animation to try to help homeowners understand more about energy efficiency.

April 2012 - Phase 2 of Premium Payment Scheme Confirmed

The Premium Payment Scheme as set up by the government to bridge the time gap between the old LCBB grants and the Renewable Heat Incentive, has been re-affirmed for a phase 2. This will allow homeonwers to receive installation grants for the renewable systems going in between now and when the RHI scheme begins later this year.
