We are a Chartered Financial Planning Firm, based in South Wales, advising on topics that include investment and portfolio reviews, pensions and taxation, life assurance and practical help for businesses.

Our firm was set up in 2008 by Andrew Tucker after he became a little disenchanted with delivering conventional financial advice. We believe that there is a crucial difference between financial advice and financial planning.
Financial Advice focuses on delivering suitable product recommendations for both new and existing investments and ensuring the recommendations continue to suit the client’s changing circumstances.
In 2011, we were proud to meet the exacting standards required to gain Chartered status as a firm. The majority of our clients come to us by referral from existing clients, which makes us think we must be doing something right and we are continually growing and expanding our services.

Paula’s previous employment was with the Civil Service in the DHSS and Dept of Work and Pensions for twelve years. She has been involved with Financial Planning Solutions since the beginning, in 2008, and is responsible for the company accounts, client fees and charges. With three great children and a dog, she can usually be found stood on the sidelines watching football or rugby every Saturday. She also loves to take walks in the country, go to the theatre and concerts and, of course, get away on holiday when she can.
James currently works part time for Financial Planning Solutions and is also at university studying towards a degree in Business & Management. His role is to help look after the marketing side of the company, keeping clients updated with newsletters and blogs. He is also responsible for the company’s social media presence. Away from the office, James enjoys mountain biking and rugby.
Gemma gained a Certificate in Financial Administration in 2011 and has recently begun studying for a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. She has worked at Financial Planning Solutions for nearly three years, having previously worked at another IFA firm for seven years before it closed down, when she then moved to FPS. Gemma is responsible for all the systems and processes, any projects, the back office and compliance audit. Outside work, she loves nothing more than settling down with a good book or going to the theatre to see a musical or catching a film. She also enjoys getting out walking in the countryside.
Tina joined the company in September 2016 and is responsible for paraplanning, training and is also our in-house Pension Transfer Specialist. Tina has worked in financial services since 2004 with banks and IFA's in adviser and support roles. Tina has the following qualifications:
