In 1989 our founder, then a dairy farmer, was frustrated at the difficulties he faced raising funds for his farm to expand the dairy herd. With the belief that he could do better himself, he commenced looking for his own finance and then, having sorted this out, he was approached by other farming friends to help them! This sowed the seeds of the business as it is today.
In the last 23 years we have seen many changes in the UK agricultural lending market. We started out as a broker, became a super broker and then lent 'white label' funds from the main banks. The banking industry crashed in 2007 and we then sought, and successfully found, third party private investment funders and this is the source of the money that we lend today. Since inception we have provided £360 million to UK agricultural businesses and we are now one of the UKs largest independent finance providers to the sector.
We are based at Acorn House in Somerset, our purpose built UK Headquarters. Our founder still has the family farm but remains directly involved in the UKFF businesses day to day. UK has a diverse staff - broadly a mix between finance people, farm consultants (usually from a farming family background) and agronomists. As our clients put it - we talk farming!
UK Farm Finance has other companies in the group who can offer professional services for agriculture including business planning, business development, diversification programmes as well as a rural planning consultancy. We provide finance for farmers across the whole of England, Scotland and Wales.
Our logo, an acorn, symbolises what we wish to achieve, which is seeing our clients businesses blossom and grow, with our help, into something as mighty as an English oak.

UK Farm Finance offers a range of attractive finance products which have been especially designed to meet farmers needs.
