Pete has worked in the financial services sector since 1996, in roles with a major Life Assurance company, local Independent Financial Adviser and within the financial services team of a local firm of Estate Agents. Outside of work his interests include most forms of sport, where he currently plays in the Premiership of the Devon Squash Leagues, as well as keeping fit and sport on a social level including tennis, golf, and weekend cycling with the family!
Ally has worked in the financial services sector since 1896 (well she says it feels like that sometimes!), in roles with a Building Society and major Life Assurance company, following on to set up the financial services department for a local Estate Agent, prior to starting Together Financial Solutions with Pete. Outside of work Ally's interests include playing tennis and keeping fit; reading about nutrition and making the most of family time - enjoying living in a wonderful part of the country!
Gideon has been working in financial services for over 15 years having started as a man from the Pru, moving on to Webbers Financial Services and finally joining us at Together. He enjoys all forms of motorsport and loves to look after and drive his replica AC Cobra. Clients will often call, asking to speak with the adviser who helped them last time - often recalled as 'Gabriel'. This never ceases to amuse the rest of the staff, no matter how many times we hear it!
Karen started off her career behind the counter in a building society before working as a conveyancer in a busy firm of solicitors in the South East. She then moved into a local South West estate agency for many years including spending time running a property management department. Karen has now added the role of financial advisor to her portfolio - and if she is not here in a few years time, it will be because she has decided to complete her career as a surveyor!!!
Andy believes customer focus is the number one priority when it comes to financial services. Much of his business comes from referrals from customers who feel that the service they received, merits their recommendation. And to the people who say it is impossible to get a mortgage these days, well they haven't been speaking to the right person.
Kevan was brought up locally, in Braunton, and is very much a family man who is happily married to his lovely wife Jean, with three children who have managed to ensure that their family name will continue on in future years by giving him five lovely grandchildren thus far. He is CeMAP qualified and specialises in providing independent advice for mortgages and Protection, and has been doing so since 1998. Kevan's initial career was spent in the forces, training and working as professional military musician for the first 8 years and military accountant for the last 5 years until leaving the services in 1985.
His interest for music and the playing of a musical instrument started during his later school years, when he joined his own school's band in Braunton and the Braunton orchestra and learned how to play the trumpet. Even today, he is a member of two local bands and enjoys to spend his spare time playing his musical instruments, doing concerts and performing to the public by playing Cornet with the Barnstaple Concert Band and Trumpet with the Cedars Big band. Plus, the occasional self indulgence of public Karaoke singing.
Richard grew up in Bideford and moved away to University at the age of 18 and has worked in the financial services industry since graduating from the University of Gloucestershire in 2001. Richard's ambition of providing exceptional personal financial advice came from his first mortgage administration role. This included completing a 'statement of mortgage completion' from day one of the mortgage through to when the clients were in trouble with their mortgage, which resulted in their property repossession and sale. This provided him with the ambition of becoming a "superhero" of advice to ensure his clients were always given expert advice for their mortgage and protection arrangements. We now understand why Richard wore his underpants on the outside during his interview with us, although we have insisted that this stops! Richard has previously worked with high street banks and building societies, providing mortgage and protection advice, and continued this since moving back to Devon in 2005, where he worked within the high street banks of HSBC and Santander. "Making the move to providing Independent whole of market advice is the best move I have ever made, as I can help my customers whatever their circumstances and not have to say "Sorry, the bank says no" he says.
Togethers newest recruit Adam joined the company in 2015. After a couple trips travelling the globe, Adam felt it was time to finally 'grow up' and forge a career in financial services and after spending just under 5 years with the Nationwide Building Society, joined us here at Together so he could start offering clients whole of market mortgage advice.
Having worked with two major high street banks for a total of 38 years; the last 15 of which have been in North Devon, in the commercial lending sector, Dave is well placed to advise and source finance for all types of businesses, from those looking to buy their first business, to others who may simply want to 'MOT' their present facilities. Dave describes his approach , as what is now termed the old fashioned type of bank manager; honest down to earth advice; flexible and willing to listen and to suggest alternatives.
Becky returned to her home County of Devon from Bath where she worked for Cheltenham & Gloucester as a Mortgage Adviser before moving on to be a Case Manager for a Mortgage Broker. Becky's interests include keeping fit and reading when she finds the time to do so! She is currently renovating her house with a small amount of help from her husband! (Let's hope he doesn't read this then! - Ed)
Jackie finally moved with her family to Devon at the end of 2012 having spent the previous decade taking annual family holidays staying with friends in the area. She wishes they had moved years ago! Her background is in Admin/PA roles and she worked for the last 7 years as a Mortgage & Protection Administrator for a Financial Services company in South East London where customer satisfaction was of the highest priority.
