Pat Beaumont is an experienced strategic and operational HR manager, trainer, project manager, business mentor and researcher. She is expert in competencies and all aspects of Performance Management. Her employment and consultancy experience spans public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
She designed competency based HR systems for both the Big Lottery Fund and HM Court Service, where she also collaborated with the University of Westminster in the design and co-writing of NVQ level 5 in Business Administration and a complementary in-house diploma. She has experience of company merger and was on the transition board for the creation of the Big Lottery Fund.
More recently she has worked with not-for-profit organisations, local authorities and the Commission for Rural Communities on a community-based employability action research project for rural Northumberland. She continues to work with private sector businesses on HR and organisation development matters, is a SFEDI accredited business mentor, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Successful models and interventions in the corporate world have been adapted to suit businesses of all sizes and stages of development in many different industry sectors.
She is an external expert and specialist provider to the North East Business Support Fund, NEPO, NEPRO and Rural Growth Network.

I have known Pat Beaumont for approximately two years through various professional events we have attended. I have also employed her as a business consultant where she advised and provided business development.

Business Planning and Marketing Strategy
I recently used Beaumont Associates for business planning and marketing strategy and I would highly recommend their services. At the initial consultation, Pat quickly grasped the issues I was facing despite having very little knowledge of my business area. Having identified the key challenges she suggested some clear actionable interventions including creating a new business plan and some personal development work.
Pat’s approach is very structured so it is always clear what you will be covering at each coaching session and what work needs to be done between sessions. She developed a project timetable outlining what would be covered each week which helped keep me on track and action orientated at our meetings.
The main focus of the project was to develop a new business plan and I found Pat’s strategic input and questioning of assumptions I had made to be invaluable for this. Her coaching interventions really made me rethink how I saw my business and enabled me to clearly articulate 3 distinct markets that I will be focusing on in the next 3 years to grow my business. As a result I have a clear 3-5 year business plan with detailed financial goals and softer goals that will help move the business forwards. Without her interventions I would still feel as if I was going round in circles with no clear way forward whereas now I am energised and excited about the future and clear about what work needs to be done each day.
In addition we also worked on some areas of my personal development which she recognised as being vital to achieve success. Again, I found her input to help identify concrete action steps in this area to be invaluable and has helped me enormously.
I am very pleased with the outcome of the project and new strategic direction of the business, I have already seen an impact on my business with newspaper coverage of my work, a revamped website, and increased bookings and turnover across May & June. Business Development Coaching
The advice and coaching has had a definite positive impact on my business in many very tangible ways. In particular I have a new confidence in moving forward, comfortable in the knowledge that I have a robust set of policies in place, excellent contracts, and a new and more effective pricing structure.
