We are one of the UK’s leading HVAC contractors specifically for the restaurant industry, with clients such as Nando’s, River Cottage and Hawksmoor.
FIFTY YEARS IN THE MAKING
We have fifty years’ experience designing, manufacturing and installing bespoke HVAC solutions specifically for the UK restaurant industry, and are committed to sourcing only the most sustainable products on the market today. From the minute you contact us, you will be given your own Chapman Ventilation point of contact – someone to oversee your project from concept to completion.
Chapman Ventilation was formed way back in 1967, starting life as a general ventilation company.
That quickly changed when we won our first restaurant contract just one year later. In 1968, we were commissioned by Peter Boizot, founder of Pizza Express, to install a canopy and ductwork in one of his very first restaurants. Subsequent restaurants followed, and Chapman Ventilation quickly established itself as one of the UK’s leading restaurant HVAC suppliers.
To this day, Chapman Ventilation is still family owned and run, with David and Anthony Chapman having taken over from their parents nearly twenty years ago. Our client base continues to grow, and we now handover in excess of 180 sites each year.
Our philosophy is simple. To deliver a perfect project, every time. And because ‘perfect’ is different for everyone, we tailor our services to meet your exact requirements. We can recommend and source the very best products available today to develop a solution that is ideal for you and your business.
The Chapman Ventilation approach has always been customer focussed, so although our team is made up of CIBSE qualified engineers, chartered surveyors and installation teams, you’ll only ever have one point of contact. Your project manager is there to make sure that your project runs smoothly, from initial designs to handover and beyond. This one-stop accountability means one call to your contact, irrespective of the size or type of the issue, will ensure that it is looked at as soon as possible.
Our dedicated maintenance team currently looks after in excess of 1000 restaurants across the UK. We have trained call handlers, engineers and project managers available 24 hours a day to help you manage your HVAC system effectively, and support you should anything go wrong.
We specialise in providing both reactive maintenance and planned service agreements tailored to your specific needs. No two restaurants are the same – a burger restaurant, for example, is likely to need significantly more servicing, maintenance and duct cleaning than a salad bar, purely because of the amount of grease, smoke and odour generated by this high-intensity cooking. We will work out the best servicing agreement for you, and help you keep on top of it.
Since 1967, we’ve been helping restaurateurs open sites across the country. From Grade 2 listed buildings to new multi-purpose developments, we’ve negotiated landlord requirements, developed bespoke HVAC schemes and even designed new products to ensure that our clients can open hassle-free in beautiful and high-footfall locations. Our project managers, engineers and designers have amassed considerable experience in this field, and as one of the contributors to DW172, our sales director Nigel Atkinson quite literally wrote the book on kitchen ventilation systems.
