Hilary set up her coaching business in 2004 and now focuses on career and transition coaching, working both one-to-one and with groups and teams. Her mission is to help others navigate change, whether they are changing career, leading others through change or managing a major workplace or personal transition. Hilary also works with the Whitehall & Industry Group (WIG), where she is Programme Director of the highly respected WIG Leadership Programme. She facilitates a range of other seminars and workshops for WIG, working with organisations as diverse as HM Treasury, Rolls-Royce plc, Save the Children, Financial Services Authority and Accenture.
Her personal style is warm, friendly and informal. She is business-focused, using powerful and challenging questions to help clients progress towards their goals, yet always with "a light touch”.
She is passionate about making commercial HR accessible to SMEs and in particular she aims to prove just how effective and successful SMEs can be at using their size to their advantage particularly when it comes to engaging openly, positively and proactively with their employees and customers. Michelle has developed a number of engagement tools for SMEs including the 3Ease Survey which is available through Collins Green.
Michelle’s previous roles have given her diverse experience across the full HR remit, at operational and strategic levels and provided her with a broad experience base to draw upon when working with clients. Indeed her claim to fame is that she is likely to have experienced first-hand pretty well every HR scenario our clients may face!

Having well written HR policies and procedures in place is the first step; knowing how to use them with confidence is a different matter and we tailor all our services so that we can work with our clients in person and by being the face you know on the end of the telephone or email. We offer a local, flexible service whether you want us to do a one off piece of work, provide advice on an “as and when” basis or retain us to be your HR department.
