TETRATAB was founded in 2007 and designed the UMPC device to give Police, Ambulance and Fire crews a rugged device which could be used in the most testing of conditions. The battery life of the device covered a full 8 hour shift and it was TETRA enabled to ensure information could be transferred securely.
Aug 2013 – TETRATAB Rebranded
To reflect the fact that TETRATAB was developing a greater number of products and solutions for external companies and moving into wider communications than TETRA, we rebranded to shift the focus more onto the ‘radio hex’ logo.
TETRATAB develop award winning ‘Police Car of the Future’ for ACPO Home Office competition.
The C Series was the first low cost semi-rugged tablet/laptop hybrid that was used by UK Police Forces. This was also TETRAtab’s first 3G only device.
Based on the Samsung Q1 Ultra, the TETRAtab T Series was the first ever TETRA and 3G multi bearer device that was implemented with vehicle docking
