About SKMA

SKMA (School of Korean Martial Arts) is a friendly and vibrant Korean Martial Arts school dedicated to promoting and developing health and well-being by way of physical and mental training.

We provide quality personal development training in Korean Martial Arts to include Hapkido, Yongmudo, Taekwondo, Gumdo (Swordsmanship) and Women’s self-defence. Our vast syllabus is beneficial and ideal for every one of all ages and abilities, and we offer flexible programmes which are specifically designed to cater for your needs.We have a strong affiliation with, and offer internationally recognised martial arts certifications from Korea Hapkido Federation, Korea Hapkido Total Federation, International Yongmudo Federation, and Kukkiwon (the World Taekwondo Federation Headquarters).

The SKMA started teaching Hapkido in Durham, the UK in 1998 by establishing Durham University Hapkido Club. It opened schools in London in 2007 and reorganised its structure then.

Our school is mentioned in the recent Olympic Legacy reports for helping the Berrymede Junior school in Acton for their successful delivery of the School Sport Premium and to help engage children and address issues in the surrounding area.
