On occasion we are asked by perspective students about our background and how and where we started. To put things simply, students want to know more about us before they decide whether to select us as their distance learning provider.

The initial idea of setting up UK Open College was the brain child of our director Bill Nicholls. After many years of working within education and in particular the distance learning sector Bill gained a thorough understanding of exactly what students were looking for when embarking on their home study journey. After years of speaking and dealing direct with distance learning students it was soon established exactly what it was that students required. 

 These three factors soon became the morals and ethics of the whole company.

With all this knowledge and information, armed with his findings Bill then set up the UK Open College. Since its incarnation in 2006 the college has gone from strength to strength. With a slow but sure approach we have built up a fantastic reputation for value and service without comprimising on the quality we offer. We have now firmly established ourselves as one of the most respected home study providers in the UK and abroad.
