Most excitedly, we have collaborated with selected partners with valuable and complementary expertise, such as Business Intelligence partners. Our partnership with ELC- Experience Led Care enables us to drive person-centred medicines optimisation and service redesign to commission the services that matter to patients to get the most out of their treatments.

Shailen is a respected and trusted thought-leader and innovator in the field of medicines management, developing in particular his concept of “Principle-centred medicines optimisation”. Shailen has always been a strong advocate of partnership-working with Industry and has conducted in excess of 250 projects during his career as former Head of Medicines Management & Diabetes Lead for Hillingdon PCT and through Soar Beyond.
As the founding partner of Soar Beyond, Shailen strives to help his clients, both NHS & Pharma, reach the “sweet spot” by aligning to their partner’s priorities. Shailen has done this through developing a number of services and systems that help our clients at both a strategic and tactical level.
Shailen leads an active and colourful Linkedin group of over 1,000 members of NHS Payors and Industry personnel keen to understand and debate various policies that affect commissioning better outcomes for patients.
Shailen is passionate about self-development and is always striving to challenge Soar Beyond and its customers to reach above and beyond their known limits.
In her Market Access Director role, Tiba primarily works with our Industry clients who need to better understand the NHS changes and how they impact on their products and services. Tiba has brought her extensive Pharma Industry and change management expertise to Soar Beyond and has been instrumental in the development of the Soar Beyond 4D Outcomes Accelerator™ simplifying Prince 2 project management and methodologies into a 4 dimensional and easily implemented processes.
Prior to Soar Beyond, Tiba was a Change Management Consultant for Accenture, one of the Big-4 Global Consulting firms, and most notably successfully project-managing the first National Programme for IT implementation into the ambulance service. Before that Tiba spent seven years with Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals and has a cross-section of customer-facing experience in sales, NHS Liaison, Project Management and Training. Tiba was among the first-ever secondments from a pharmaceutical company to the NHS and therefore understands the need to work in an innovative and Business to Business relationship with the NHS & Industry.
Anjna has worked for Soar Beyond since 2009 in a variety of roles and now leads on our medicines optimisation services to the NHS and Industry. Anjna is passionate about improving the outcomes for patients through appropriate medicine use.
She brings to Soar Beyond 19 years of experience from a variety of community, primary and secondary care pharmacist roles. Anjna started off in Boots the Chemist and held various managerial and clinical roles, one of which led her to being involved in the development and training of pharmacists for key product launches (Zocor Heart Pro). She was also able to undertake academic roles in conjunction with Boots in Nottingham and Demonfort Universities (liaison between the post graduate department and central professional services team in order to gain MUR accreditation for the entire pharmacist population at Boots). Anjna also held a position at Milton Keynes Hospital Foundation Trust as a consultant pharmacist and led on the South Central Patient Safety Federation-No Needless Medication Errors project.
As Executive Project Manager for Soar Beyond, Julia brings real value and a wealth of experience to the team having been a Marketing Manager for the BBC and worked within the Communications team at Price Waterhouse Coopers. More recently, Julia worked for a training consultancy where she further developed her project management skills and acquired a number of essential transferable talents that she brings to the team. Julia oversees the client liaison element of all of our projects and supports the Directors and external customers with compliance issues.
Julia's friendly and enthusiastic style means she is able to connect with people at all levels and develop long- lasting relationships with them. She also has a strong ability to multi-task in this pivotal role in Soar Beyond and enjoys the customer-facing side of her work as much as she does the internal support she provides.
A pharmacist with over 20 years’ experience in primary, secondary, and community care, Ian has a wide range of experience and knowledge in optimising medicines usage. The use of medicines is the most common therapeutic intervention carried out in the NHS, and Ian is passionate about ensuring it’s always the right one through collaboration with patients, NHS and Pharma. Ian spent a year as a commissioning pharmacist in NHS England, and has wide-ranging insight into NHS policy, contracting, and commissioning. During his time in NHS England, Ian helped shape local governance arrangements, leading to what is now known as co-commissioning. Prior to this, Ian was an Assistant Head of Medicines Management in a PCT, and led a prescribing support team to deliver on quality, safety and cost-effective prescribing projects.
