Absolute Wealth Management was originally formed in 2006. Pete McBride and Simon Harnaman have over 50 years combined experience in the financial services industry, having worked for large financial institutions, before starting their own independent financial advice firms. They wanted to be able to offer clients comprehensive and impartial financial advice on savings, pensions and investments.
Our philosophy
Our philosophy has always been to manage clients’ financial portfolios as if they were our own. We pride ourselves on our integrity and responsibility and always ensure that we provide transparency across all the services that we provide.
As independent financial advisers, authorised by the FCA, we will always research relevant financial markets to be able to provide clear and impartial financial advice.
When advising a client, we consider it our responsibility to provide the sort of advice we would give our own parents - clear, independent, professional advice.
Pete has been a financial adviser for over nineteen years, during which time he has amassed extensive industry knowledge. Having run his own business for over thirteen years, he has extensive knowledge of issues that apply to business owners. Away from work Pete enjoys spending time with his family, ferrying his two daughters to various clubs and activities. He is also an active member of a local Rotary group raising money for local and national charities. He can even be found on the golf course, if the weather is good!
Simon has a wealth of experience in the financial services industry, spanning twenty-three years. He initially qualified as an accountant in 2002, before opting to become an Independent Financial Adviser. His professional background enables him to consider the wider financial implications so he can offer a professional, yet personable service. Away from the business, Simon enjoys spending time with his family (keeping up with the three boys Harry, Will and Jack), enjoying the odd round of golf, watching rugby and socialising with friends.
With her background in project management, Catherine is our efficient office manager. She oversees the day-to-day operations in the office, including ensuring the smooth running of our systems and processes. Catherine ensures that we consistently provide the best service possible to our clients at all times. Away from the office, Catherine enjoys spending time with her young family, supporting them in their school and sport activities. She also enjoys travelling, skiing and gardening!
Jenni is the day-to-day contact for all administrative queries, whether by phone, email, post or in person. She provides invaluable administrative support for both Simon and Pete, helping to manage client portfolios. When not at work Jenni enjoys an active life participating or watching sport, she can often be seen at Bristol Rugby since she is an avid supporter! Jenni is also a keen cyclist and enjoys a competitive challenge, over the years this has included raising considerable sums for charity.
