Haydock Slating were appointed the sole contractor to undertake major roofing works on our home, which is a Grade II listed building. This was a complex and challenging job which involved major alterations to the roof structure, the removal and replacement of the existing roof, sourcing and matching the stone slates, rebuilding chimneys, and replacing timbers and gutters. The work required listed building consent and so the materials and construction had to be carefully controlled and monitored.
George Haydock ran the project extremely efficiently and professionally and kept us informed at every stage of the works. George and his team were always polite and friendly and though having scaffolding and skips on site for almost three months had seemed a daunting prospect, George and his staff were a pleasure to have on site. We were very impressed with the way everyone conducted themselves and how helpful they were. They even cleaned and tidied the site before they left every night.
Haydock Slating completed the project on time and they have done an excellent job. This is what the property must have looked like 300 years ago when it was first built and we are delighted with the skill and craftsmanship that has now ensured that our home will be preserved for future generations.
