This business was originally started by Nicky & Marjorie Whelan in September 1980 after several years of working for Johnsons the Cleaners, Mrs Whelan was the Manager at Clitheroe whilst Mr Whelan worked as a relief Operator and Hoffman Presser covering an area between Clitheroe and Crewe.Then after a period of ill-health Tony Whelan(son) had to step in and help to run this ever expanding business in 1985.
Before this Mr Whelan jnr. had been the manager of Norths Drycleaners at Darwen but had trained and learned most of his skills helping his parents.He even worked in the industry whilst at school and took holiday jobs at Johnsons (Accrington) during his last two years at school.
Tony now runs this business with his wife Yvette and between them run it together with Yvette in charge of the Counter and logistics while Tony does all the production side of the business and does all the Drycleaning and Pressing and must be one
