Marine Services Chirk is a family run business with vastly experienced employees who can cater for any of your canal boating needs.

As a Boat Retailers And Brokers Association member you can confidently deal with us when looking to buy a quality used narrow boat or canal cruiser. We are a small, enthusiastic but above all, knowledgable team who will happily offer as much help and guidance as required when purchasing a used narrow boat.

In addition to our Boat Brokerage service we also offer long term moorings at our ideally situated marina in Chirk. From the moment you moor your boat at our secure and peaceful marina on the Llangollen Canal we will always be ready to help, with marine engineers, boat fitters and boat painters on hand to advise you every step of the way.

Welcome to Marine Services Chirk

Due to our fantastic location, we are ideally situated to run a narrowboat hire fleet, and we are proud to have been featured on More4's Great Canal Journeys, in which Timothy West and Prunella Scales explored the Llangollen Canal on one our Crest Narrowboats fleet, and more recently Channel 5's Celeb Carry on Barging . In fact, Chirk Marina is placed in between 2 famous aqueducts built by Thomas Telford - Chirk and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the latter being the tallest bridge of its kind in the UK. What's more, in 2009 UNESCO granted the 11 mile canal corridor on which we are placed World Heritage Status, an accolade reserved for the likes of the Taj Mahal and the Statue of Liberty.
