Unisnacks was inspired by the wealth of snack products available in Asia, particularly Japan, where snacking is a national obsession. We wanted to bring the delicious flavours of snacks from around the world to the UK and Europe.
The business began in 2007 as Ducom Europe Ltd and we rebranded to become Unisnacks Europe Ltd in 2015, to better reflect what we’re all about. Between them, our core management team have more than 100 years’ experience in the international FMCG business.
Over the past decade we have accrued considerable expertise in taking niche international products to the mainstream. By increasing the volume of products imported, we’re able to reduce the associated costs per unit. This enables us to offer attractive prices to retailers, so they can provide consumers with great value while making above-average margins.
However, this doesn’t mean our suppliers get a bad deal. In fact, we aim to be all our suppliers’ best customer. We’re committed to offering fair prices and also investing alongside suppliers to help them penetrate European markets effectively. By assisting them to break out of niche ethnic markets into the mainstream, we can help them dramatically increase sales and reduce the costs per unit through economies of scale.
