Medical Success was founded in 2007 by a group of doctors who found themselves frustrated at the lack of alternative career guidance out there for medically qualified people who seek change.
Faced with invisible barriers at work we started to question like-mind colleagues about alternative career paths, curious to discover whether there was anything else we could do with our medical skills. It quickly became obvious that no one really had any clear or reliable information to help us make an informed decision. We resolved to change this.
With some help from friends we widened our circle and contacted doctors who had actually made the career jump. Perhaps they had the answers? They certainly did, but not only that, they were happy to help. We made it our goal to bring this invaluable knowledge and wealth of information together into an easy to use resource, giving clear advice and opening doors that had previously been closed.
We then had another idea. Wouldn’t it be great if we could put the advice of all these different specialists together in one room? Where we could ask our own questions and make real contacts with people who could help us take that first step into a new career?
Each year we adapt our National Event to showcase different and new exciting careers as well as some firm favourites. We work closely with doctors and sponsors to ensure we discuss realistic job opportunities. Direct, first-hand, honest information remains pivotal.
