About Metcalfe Bros Ltd
Metcalfe Bros were the first company to hire out roadsweepers in Cumbria, supplying ex Council sweepers to building sites throughout the north west.Since those early days we have built up a modern fleet of plant and vehicles. We became a Ltd company in 2006 and the firm is now run by Stephen and Richard Metcalfe.

Metcalfe Bros. Ltd. is a family owned business specialising in haulage, plant hire and road planing. We operate throughout Cumbria, Lancashire, Yorkshire and South Scotland from our base at Sedbergh on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
We have a modern and varied fleet, which includes excavators, tippers, low loaders, road sweepers and road planers, as well non-operated plant such as dumpers etc. We have a diverse customer base, from householders, up to major PLCs and local authorities. We are very confident that with our flexible approach, our well qualified staff can deliver your requirements.
