Dobbies is the UK’s second largest Garden Centre retailer. Virtrium were initially invited to assess their IT platforms and provide high level recommendations on investment. We were then asked to produce a five year IT Strategy that would enable the IT to grow against an aggressive business growth strategy. In particular we were able to identify and support a true omni-channel ecosystem that would deliver cost savings and efficiencies, whilst enabling growth.
TrustFord , the UK’s largest dedicated Ford dealer group, wanted to upgrade and replace their UK WAN. They had approached several different suppliers and approached Virtrium to provide them with an expert, independent review of the different options available. Virtrium provided subject matter expertise to compliment the in-house team and were able to recommend an option to the Board that reduced current service costs, optimised future upgrades and addressed the risk of change.
We were engaged to provide project and change management expertise to address these problems. We provided a structured approach, helped build a business case, put together the high level architecture (solution), went to market to procure it, set up the right contracts with the vendor and then project manage the pilot implementation.
