Passion for clocks runs in our family. It all started over 80 years ago, when a young educated man decided to run his own business. The year was 1929, and a small shop selling and repairing watches & timepieces was opened up in the town of Lyallpur in the Punjab in British India, and so started the legacy that was to run on for many many years.
Combining his skill of selling and his knowledge of engineering, he opened a factory manufacturing complete clocks. The name of that factory was Upper India Clock Company and it opened in 1944-1945.
Due to his failing health he brought in his eldest son Mr Aslam to join the business in the early 1950s. The company was renamed Champion Clock Company in 1954. Mr Aslam through years of hard work and endeavour grew the business substantially in the following decades. Champion Clocks grew from manufacturing mechanical pendulum movements and wooden cases into the new field of plastic cases with quartz movements manufactured in a purpose built factory on the outskirts of town.
The start of Plastic case manufacturing saw the introduction of the next generation into the business when Mr Mohy and Mr Moin joined in early 1980′s. Mr Ahmad also joined the new enterprise of manufacturing quartz clock movements. Expertise of quartz movement manufacturing was gained in the late 80′s.
At the start of the new millennium, the next generation came into the business with the introduction of Mr Saa’d.
His vision was to introduce new designs and uplift the clock business by adding a premium brand which was Amms. Opening up the US market is one of the goals of this young man.
A sister company was opened up in the UK in 1990, which focused on clocks for the local market. This company is still running today with the name of Clifton Traders (UK) Ltd, which is run today by Mr Ahmad.

Our Terms of Business
We supply all our goods on a firm sale basis. On approved customer accounts we are able to give 60 days credit. HSBC provide us the factoring facility. Minimum carriage paid order value is £350.00 plus VAT. All our clocks are guaranteed for 1 year from date of customer purchase. All goods remain our property under trust until they have been paid for, at which time the title to the goods passes to the customer. This does not affect the product guarantee.
We provide our overseas clients with sourcing, shipping, and marketing services according to their individual needs.
