Alex started out in business when she purchased a disused old stable in Stanhope. Over a period of time with help in the evenings from her Mum and Dad and tradesmen that her Dad knew through his many years in the building industry The Lime Tree Gallery opened in 2000 and has been trading successfully ever since. In the early years of her career she spent many working days here and became aware of the style of art her customers liked. This became enormously influential in the direction she moved when establishing the look you see on her instantly recognizable greeting cards today.
