Derringtons was founded in 2006 by Jane Muir, FCIS,
after spending almost 20 years as a company secretary working in the financial services industry.
A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, Jane realised that smaller and medium sized businesses often had company secretarial requirements that were not always adequately addressed by the traditional outsource providers. She also identified a need to provide help to overseas companies investing in the UK needing assistance in setting up their new subsidiaries and not falling foul of the complex and often daunting requirements of UK company law.
Jane has also worked as a compliance officer for FSA regulated businesses and can advise on other areas such as data protection, due diligence requirements, human resources and employment issues.
