Essence (Lowestoft) Ltd was established in June 2006. Being a very experienced and fully trained stylist, Hayley Fowler decided that the only way to fulfil her ambitions was to move into the world of business. Hayley's path took her to London and the well known Toni and Guy Company, where she found herself working at some of the most prestigious salons in London and Sloane Square in particular!
Not only did this give her an exceptional learning opportunity, it also was priceless experience. It certainly stood her in good stead when she returned to Lowestoft and became self employed at a local salon. A customer base was soon built up, and the confidence gained from working in London gave her the foundation to start her own business, in her own premises.
Of great benefit was the loyal customer base that she had attained and built up, most of whom transferred to the new business. Initially she started the business on her own, with a good friend and trusted stylist Shona joining her. Since then the business has grown organically and now employs five people.
We have a forward thinking and highly motivated team, and are proud to say we were winners in the Chamber of Commerce Business Awards in 2009.
