There are a great many privately owned shops here, not only antique shops, for which Tetbury is famous, but fashion, interior design, floristry, carpentry, garden furniture, musical instruments, hand made toys , stylish homewear, bespoke kitchens, carpets and many more and not one of them is a high street giant but all are of such an extraordinarily high standard that makes shopping here second to none. Quayles has an enviable view down Church Street and Long Street and it is for this reason that people come to sit in the window watching Cotswold life drift by. The shop itself is a feast to all your senses. Not only is it full of the most delicious and extraordinary produce, carefully selected and chosen for its quality and exceptional taste, they also have no fewer than 9 of our own label wines, carefully tasted and selected to compliment all the food. Quayles is also reknowned for its Bloody Mary's, Champagnes, Proseccos and cognacs… not to mention a very fine kummel. The shop is full of artisan breads, quiches, cakes, and pastries, either handmade for them in Bath by the amazing Bertinet Bakery and delivered on a daily basis or carefully and lovingly baked in house by a talented team. There are cheeses here of mouth watering brilliance and a finely chosen array that would not be out of place in the hallowed grounds of the great London food halls. So too for the charcuterie and antipasti… All waiting to be tried and tasted at your leisure. There are salamis and olives that transport you straight to the market place in some sun kissed square where you first tasted the true tastes of Italy, Spain or France… the finest quality English hams and bacons are also on offer for a top class bacon sandwich or really first rate ham and eggs, from suppliers championing the very best of British. In the chiller there are sides of salmon and trout from the famous Wye Valley smokery, cornish butters, chorizo and salami sausages, cods roe, caviar, juices and cordials, the sweetest salads, cartons of delicious soups, boxes of fresh scallop and crabs for mouthwatering summer salads...
