We do this by going beyond traditional fundraising to teach School Business Managers, Headteachers and other school leaders valuable business skills such as marketing and entrepreneurship. We encourage new ways of thinking about fundraising to give our partners the knowledge, tools and support they need to make a real, tangible difference to the lives of their students.
Founder (and former teacher) Janis Green develops School Fund Manager in her garden shed in Bedfordshire with the mission to help schools manage their school funds more efficiently.
Janis relocated the business to the North East and hired her first employee. From their office on Charlotte Square, Janis spent the next five years growing the business. In 2011 we moved to our current home at Media Exchange on Coquet Street in Newcastle.
Fund Manager Officially Becomes SF Software Ltd
Now with nearly 2,000 customers, it was time to incorporate. Fund Manager became SF Software Ltd., and remains so, officially, to this day.
Ryan Green officially joined the company as a Sales Consultant and spent the next several years working his way up the ladder to eventually becoming the Managing Director of Pebble.
New Product Release: Fund Finder
Pebble won a Design Council Award and with their help was rebranded as Pebble. The name Pebble is based on the first form of counting which was done with stones.
Janis took home the Women Into the Network “Best Use of Technology” award. The award recognises those women who champion technological innovation at the heart of their business.

We are about to celebrate our 25th Anniversary! Over our history, Pebble have helped thousands of schools. Janis remains our CEO and Ryan our Managing Director. We now have over 20 employees and are looking forward to continued growth over the coming years.
