About Red Grape
Red Grape has been operating since 2005 and was set up by directors Simon Goldman and Marie King. With several years of construction industry and management consulting experience between us, we both felt that big improvements could be made to subcontracting in the construction sector and we created Red Grape to achieve this.
Our first choice of supplier was a Scandinavian manufacturer that could not only supply a consistently top quality and high performance product, but was also one we could trust and build a strong working relationship with. We chose H Fönstret in Lysekil, Sweden to supply their aluminium and timber composite products, and the relationship today is stronger than ever.
Red Grape’s supplier list has now expanded to include manufacturers in Germany, who supply top-of-the-range bi-folding sliding doors along with roof glazing from a British manufacturer.
When sourcing aluminium entrance doors and curtain walling, we also place a strong emphasis on close working relationships to provide the best, trusted products with the best, reliable service.
Right from the outset, we felt that existing window suppliers hadn't been offering a complete service to their clients. We identified this gap in the market for a company that not only supplied windows, but also immersed itself at the conception and design stages, and stayed involved through to handover and maintenance. By the nature of their working practices, most Scandinavian suppliers were creating a system that imposed two contracts on its clients, one for the supply of the windows and another for their installation, which was usually via an unrelated installer.
In 2010, we identified that in order to truly achieve the quality of service and control we desired, we needed to bring the installation of our windows into our control. So we set up Red Installations Ltd and now employ teams of installers directly, supplemented by regular teams of sub-contractors working alongside Red Installations installers as required. As a result, the pairing of Red Grape and Red Installations now provides the quality of control and service that clients demand. Clients can also choose to contract Red Installations directly for window installation if that would suit their project better.
Since its conception, Red Grape has employed people that have worked with; Velfac, Sampson Windows, Crittall Windows and Nordan, amongst others, which gives a wealth of knowledge across the industry. In addition to this, Red Installations’ installers have worked with most Scandinavian systems, aluminium systems and curtain walling.
Bucking the growth trend, Red Grape and Red Installations have recently moved to spacious new offices in the heart of Chelmsford, Essex – ideally located for easy access into London, the South East and beyond.

We set high standards for our products and the service we provide to our clients, which is why they come back to us time and time again. We achieve this by having efficient and comprehensive systems, great relationships with our suppliers and open and honest communication with our clients. If something's going well, we'll tell you, but if something's not quite as we'd like, we'll tell you that, too.
